SUZUKI GIXXER MY FIRST BIKE

In 2014 when I got my job it was the time to accomplish my Dream of owing my First Two Wheeler. But as a Graduate from Mediocre Engineering College I couldnt beg a high paying job placement and had to go for a less salary self placed Job. Here I decided to keep patience and start saving for my dream bike. I started my search with TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS white colour beast which was my dream bike but the mielage was also my concern, I quickly switched towards Honda Unicorn a reliable name in 150cc segment. But again looks matters for me as well as the performance concerns , Now I started doing my homework on RE T-350 (Royal Enfield ThunderBird) and Royal Enfield Classic Desert Storm but the budget was substatntial. The Area in which I was living has an old Royal Enfield Restoration Garage, They use to restore old RE’s and sale in a budget. The work was pretty cool and authentic and i was about to book one but my Father Told me to buy a New RE and he offered me his blessings as the amount of New Bike. But the motive of my life is to live independently and at that moment I drop the plan of Byuing an Old Bike. The very next Day I took the test ride of Yamaha FZ and Bajaj Adventure 150. Still Suzuki was not in my plans as there was no Suzuki Showroom in Moradabad at that point of time. Meanwhile I have tried some preowned bikes also but nothing could triggered me for buying.

Around 1 year was completed in this process and finally on a september’s Sunday I took the test ride of Suzuki Gixxer at Bareilly. I can still recall as the moment I rolled the throttle I found my soul connected with the machine, the engine was quick compared to other bike of the segment with excellent handling and ride quality. I decided to buy Gixxer and purchased it on 1st November 2015 from Kesar Suzuki Haldwani which saved me 5000INR that time as a tax rebate from UK Government. The Bike was excellent in Power and Mielage, it touches 80 in No time and goes upto 123 with my body weight. Doesnt feel any handling concern in speed range of 80-100kmph. Also it was returning an excellent mielage of 62kmpl which was totally unbeleivable. With the time as the bike gets older the mielage start dropping and now its almost 65000kms and 9 year old bike and returning 35kmpl in city traffic. But Still I am very very satisfied with the Bike Performance, I have ridden it on highways, jungles, water-crossings, had numerous trips of Uttarakhand and places with steep slopes, off-roads and the vehicle had never turn me down. The only negatives I noticed in the bike is its rear brakes which was resolved later by introducing Double Disc Brakes version. The engine Quality and bike handling is a top knotch.

I can confidently quote here that it has the DNA of GSX-750 hopefully which i will buy someday with my viewers blessings. I will share my rides experiences with my machine in the future blogs, for now let me complete this blog and Dont miss the Bike Specs given below.
